The primary production route involves Ammonium Paratungstate (APT) Reduction: APT is calcined to tungsten trioxide (WO₃), then reduced in a hydrogen atmosphere through multi-stage heating (500–800°C). For ultra-fine powder, plasma spraying or chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is employed. Coarse tungsten powder is produced via granulation or hydrogen reduction at higher temperatures.
